Janet has developed her skills beginning as a designer, project manager, salesperson, and business owner. This evolution and experience has benefitted both customer and staff to be able to identify and understand the needs of each.
As the founder and president of One Eleven Design, she has developed the company into a full-service interior design firm and furniture dealership. With several distinctions from Herman Miller and former employers, Janet has taken her drive and dedication to recruit and lead the best team of designers and staff to service northeast Indiana.
The Eames Molded Plywood Chair has a place in Janet’s heart for its simple but comfortable design!
Ashlee graduated from Purdue University, a CIDA accredited design program. Even before graduating, she began working at One Eleven Design. She is currently working towards her NCIDQ certification. With her practicum complete, Ashlee will soon be taking the Interior Design Professional Exam (IDPX) and Interior Design Fundamentals Exam (IDFX) to complete her certification.
Ashlee has an extensive knowledge base of contract furniture and the design industry. As a designer and project manager at One Eleven Design, Ashlee works closely with clients to create their vision from space planning and furniture selection to finish selection and power and data planning, to name a few. She works hard to balance schedules and budgets to ensure client satisfaction.
Ashlee’s favorite Herman Miller piece is the Embody chair. She prefers to work in a reclined position and the Embody chair supports the body in any work style. It pairs perfectly with the Envelop desk which pulls toward the user for comfort while maintaining correct ergonomic support.
Chelsey is a Northern Indiana native. After numerous years in various positions in the workforce, she brought her unique experiences to One Eleven Design.
Chelsey is responsible for order preparation, sales order management, and work order management. She oversees file control, project/account coordination, and sales/work order close out. Chelsey is in charge of all installation scheduling management as well.
Her favorite Herman Miller piece is the Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman. Its design is not only iconic and beautiful aesthetically, but its curves ease the user into a relaxed state. Chelsey believes that every office needs a comfortable chair for those times when you just need a quick break.
Maddie began her time at One Eleven Design as an intern, and began working full time as a designer after graduation. She works closely with clients through the programming, space planning, and finish and furniture selection phases of each diverse project. She works in collaboration with the rest of the team at One Eleven from start to finish, ensuring each furniture and design project are completed to a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Maddie’s favorite Herman Miller piece is the Aeron chair because of its’ iconic design and innovation. When the Aeron Chair was originally released, it changed people’s perception of what an office chair could be with its’ multi-size design that was packed with ergonomic benefits. The remastered Aeron chair of today performs better than ever, and supports all of her working postures throughout the day.
Lauren graduated from Ball State University, a CIDA accredited design program. While in college, she completed an internship at MSKTD: an architecture, engineering, and design firm in Fort Wayne.
As a designer and at One Eleven Design, Lauren works closely with clients to create their vision from space planning and furniture selection to finish selection and power and data planning, to name a few. She works hard to balance schedules and budgets to ensure client satisfaction.
Lauren enjoys the unique design of the Sayl Chair, which incorporates architecture into the world of furniture by using bridges as inspiration. She resonates with its’ performance and aesthetics by way of delivering the most comfort with the least amount of materials.
Kristen has nineteen years of experience in the Furniture and Interior Design industry. She has worked in several states and markets which has given her a broad understanding and articulation. She has overseen multi-million dollar projects from start to finish.
Kristen has an extensive knowledge base of contract furniture and the design industry. As a designer and project coordinator at One Eleven Design, Kristen’s operational objectives contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans and timelines; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems and completing audits.
Her favorite Herman Miller piece is the Magis Chair-One partly because it is so visually intriguing. This chair forces Kristen to investigate the who, what, where, when, why and how. It’s deep and wide. She values thoughtful and responsible design which is in line with the designer’s philosophy.
Hailee graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. Despite pursuing teaching, she has always had a passion for the construction and design industry–especially in the residential market.
Hailee has an extensive knowledge base of the construction industry due to early exposure as a child, as well as experience in Office Management, Flooring, Sales, and Education. She brings a variety of knowledge to the team. Hailee has many roles at One Eleven and works to ensure the best experience for customers and vendors alike. She is continually learning about the furniture industry and is eager to learn more each day.
Her favorite Herman Miller piece is the Swoop Lounge Chair because of its curved design to be comfortable for any sitting posture—whether that be working with a computer in a comfortable space or taking a quick coffee break to chat amongst co-workers. Swoop lounge furniture is casual and comfortable for any space.
Maricel graduated from Purdue University Fort Wayne and is working towards her NCDIQ certification. When she graduated, she starting working in the flooring industry with a focus on custom new builds and remodels. She has gained experience as a Project Manager, Designer, and Sales Representative along with a wealth of knowledge in flooring.
At One Eleven Design she will be a designing both residentially and commercially collaborating with her team from start to finish, ensuring every project is completed to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Lacy started her time with One Eleven Design at the beginning of 2018 as a freelancer. She has since been brought on full-time as a CAD designer. Her knowledge of CAD and BIM programs is very beneficial for our team.
Lacy’s focus is on creating detailed drawings for construction purposes, as well as for the Designers to utilize. She is responsible for participating in site visits for field measurements and pictures of each site to produce drawings and renderings with the utmost accuracy. Lacy is excited to be part of such a driven team whose number one focus is customer satisfaction.
Lacy’s favorite Herman Miller piece is the ColourForm Sofa Group. “Comfortable modules that play with color, as they play nicely together.” We spend so much of our time in an office setting, it’s refreshing to see more and more offices moving toward the flexible seating option. When we have multiple places to work, other than at a desk, it really encourages collaboration and team socialization. I particularly like the fun pop of color the ColourForm Sofa can add to any space.
